Berkeley Boathouse fills the void left by the loss of woodworking classes in local high schools. In this program, youth work alongside our skilled instructors learning carpentry and traditional wooden boat building. When weather permits, interns take our fleet of boats paddling and sailing on the Berkeley Aquatic Park and San Francisco Bay. Youth interns and staff also help conduct field trips for groups of youth from partner organizations.
