Waterside Workshops is a unique non-profit organization devoted to strengthening the West Berkeley community by providing a place for youth and adults to work together on creative projects, and educate the public in the development of hand-skills and creativity, including woodworking, bicycle repair, sewing and gardening.
We provide facilities for instruction including a wood shop, bicycle repair shop, sewing studio and community workshop space. Soon, we will be sponsoring community-building educational events such as model boat building, bicycle races, and community gardening days.
Currently, Waterside Workshops is offering a bike repair and training workshop for all ages as well as a sewing skills lab, and boat-building classes for Berkeley youth.
We welcome individuals, organizations and teachers who have interests compatible with the Waterside Workshops vision. For more information on how you can contribute or participate, please see our Getting Involved area.
